Last Tuesday on January 29th, POLIN Museum hosted some distinguished visitors from the United Nations.
This included a delegation of permanent representatives to the U.N. from around 30 countries, and other esteemed guests. The evening was hosted by POLIN’s Museum Director, Professor Dariusz Stola.
Our special guests had the opportunity to tour the core exhibition, and took part in a gala dinner organized in the majestic main hall of the museum.
The visit was initiated by Ambassador Danny Danon, Israel’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations. The delegation included representatives of the American Zionist Movement and the International March of the Living. Among other distinguished guests who were invited by POLIN Museum were Bartosz Cichocki, undersecretary of state in Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Rafał Trzaskowski, Mayor of Warsaw, Piotr Wiślicki, President of the Association of the JHI, Anna Azari, Ambassador of Israel to Poland, Eric Green, Deputy Chief of Mission at the US Embassy in Poland, Professor Daniel Rotfeld, member of POLIN Museum Council, Michael Schudrich, Chief Rabbi of Poland, Jacek Chodorowicz, Plenipotentiary to the Minister of Foreign Affairs for contacts with the Jewish Diaspora. Organization of the gala dinner was possible thanks to the support of Grzegorz Jankilevitsch, POLIN Museum Distinguished Benefactor, who also attended the event.
